Narasimha Chaturdashi

Narasimha Chaturdashi marks the divine appearance of Lord Narasimhadeva, the half-man, half-lion form of Lord Krishna. He appeared to protect His pure devotee Prahlada and destroy the demon king Hiranyakashipu who tried to kill the young boy for his unwavering devotion.
According to Srila Prabhupada, Lord Narasimhadeva protects those who sincerely spread Krishna Consciousness. His fierce form ensures that the devotees remain fearless in the face of obstacles while serving the Lord.
On this sacred day, devotees gather with devotion, offering prayers to Lord Narasimha to remove internal and external barriers. His mercy is invoked to guide us through life's difficulties, just as He protected little Prahlada.
